I BUILT A SUPERCHARGED BIKE ALREADY ……I HAVE AN M62 EATON BLOWER ON MINE WITH A HOLLEY 500 2BBL AN I WOULD USE AN M90 NEXT TIME. I BELIEVE YOU WANTED 2 BAR , THATS 15 PSI. THAT M45 BLOWER IS NOT GONNA EVEN COME CLOSE TO 2 BAR. MY M62 TURNING ONE TO ONE WITH MY 1135CC MILL SHOLD BE CLOSE TO 2 BAR BUT IN REALITY IT ONLY MAKES 7PSI. I HAD OVERDRIVE THE BLOWER 1.5 TO 1 TO MAKE 18 PSI. SO THERES NO WAY THAT LITTLE M45 IS GONNA DO ANY REAL POWER NUMBER. THEY PUT AN M45 ON A ZRX12 LIKE IT WAS A BIG DEAL. MY BIKE WOULD BLOW THAT LITTLE GIRL SETUP RIGHT OFF THE ROAD. SO ID GET A BIGGER BLOWER BEFORE YOU ARE DISAPPOINTED IN THE. GO TO VICTORY MOTORCYCLE LIBRARY ON SUPERCHARGING, ITS AWESOME. ALSO DRIVING OFF CLUTCH WITH A CASTLE DRUM IS A MILLION TIME EASIER THAT ANY OTHER METHOD. I CAN ANSWER ANY QUESTION YOU HAVE BECAUSE IVE ALREADY BEEN THERE. THANKS T-REX

I am sorry for your failure after all your hard work and I have read your comments, on this site constructive critisism is always appreciated. I have had a quick look at the site you told me to look at and the first thing I would suggest is you have a look at your pulley arrangement ratio it is not 1 to 1 as you say and as you have come off the clutch side of the bike I cannot comment as I would not entertain that  I wanted direct so I came off the crank. I think your problem may be in the maths, 2 Bar = 29.0076 psi and not 15psi as you have been told. You have made no indication of any other mods  on your bike like , High lift performance cams, specially made pistons for an 8.5 to 1 compression ratio and a custom built E.C.U to manage it and above all carbs won’t do it you have got to inject!

    Supercharger Basics.

Here is the theory. Fuel makes the power, you can pump an unlimited amount of fuel into an engine. However, you can only mix a given amount of fuel with a given amount of air (ideally 14.7 lbs of air per 1lb of fuel but, there is a wider range of acceptable values. An engine is an air pump and with normal atmospheric pressure being ( note ) 14.696 psi or 1.01325 bar .
So theoretically if a supercharger is providing 1 bar of boost, other things being equal, the engine will make about TWICE the horse power!
I am lucky enough to have some of the best names in Race Development companies helping me that’s why this GPZ900r will be the only one of its kind in the world so if you are going to have another go with yours I would be more than willing to help you.
    Regards.
